Chain Reaction receives Profit Track Best Team Management accolade

At the 13th annual Sunday Times PwC Profit Track Top 100 UK Companies Awards Ceremony, held at the Savoy Hotel in London last week, Chain Reaction Cycles CRC won the Profit Track Top 100 UK Company Best management Team Award.

High Street names like Britax Childcare, Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts, Dr Martens, Jack Wills and Phase Eight were beaten off by CRC in the category.

CRC won plaudits for its rapid commercial growth, which has seen it grow from a family bike shop into the world’s largest online bike store with over 100,000 different product lines and annual sales of over £100million, employing over 600 people.

Finance Director Jarlath Quinn collected the award and said: “The company has experienced rapid growth through hard work, a strong family ethos and investment in its people. To be ranked among the Top 100 companies in the UK is a great achievement in itself, but to win this award is truly reflective of our team culture. I’d like to thank all our staff for their contribution in helping make this possible.”

Earlier this year the retailer picked up the Best UK Independent Retailer award at the annual Paypal etail Awards, followed by the much coveted Aer Lingus Viscount Business Award for Overall Excellence. This year also saw CRC's site ranked as the UK’s No.1 Sports-Cycling website by Experian Hitwise in 2012.
