Primal sees 58% turnover rise, opens pop-up store

Plymouth-based Primal Europe has lifted the lid on its performance last year and announced a new community pop-up store to celebrate some positive numbers.

Primal Europe saw a 58 per cent year-on-year increase in turnover for 2015 and the trend shows no signs of slowing, the firm added.

To celebrate the success and support its local community, Primal is partnering with Rockets & Rascals café in Plymouth to showcase a pop up store from Thursday February 4th to 7th, 2016.

Primal representatives will be on hand at the cafe throughout the week to offer advice and answer any cycling related questions over a coffee and cake. There will also be the chance to purchase exclusive 2016 Primal clothing samples.

The event comes just weeks after it was announced that walking and cycling routes in Plymouth will receive a boost of almost £5 million to encourage people to leave behind their cars in a bid to cut congestion and pollution.

James and Judith Smith, directors at Primal Europe, said: “Cycling has always been a popular leisure activity in the local area, and with the added support of the local council encouraging more people to get on their bikes, it’s sure to continue to be a key outdoor activity for many years to come. The interest in cycling in our local area has certainly helped to contribute to Primal’s success.

“We’re excited to work with local business to educate those that are interested in learning more about cycling – whilst also continuing to support enthusiasts – to get more people enjoying the outdoor lifestyle.”
