Pedal-free, learn-to-ride bike grabs three prizes from parental site
Strider's ST-3 balance bike has scored three Loved By Parents (LBP) awards, including a Gold prize for Best Toy Design.
Launched earlier this year the Strider ST-3 went through a rigorous expert testing stage to be shortlisted as a finalist before coming top in a public vote.
Besides the Gold award in the Best Toy Design category, the Strider ST-3 balance bike was also highly commended in the Best Ride On and Best Outdoor Toy categories adding a Silver and Bronze award to its accolades.
“The best thing about winning the LBP awards is that it proves that both the experts and end users love the bike," said Melanie Thomas, director of Melrose Kids – the official UK distributor for Strider. "We’ve always been confident that the ST-3 is the best balance bike on the market – a thought that’s now been shown across the UK.”
According to Thomas, balance bikes useage has rapidly increased since they were introduced over the last decade. She added: “Research has shown that it can be counter-productive to teach a young child to rely on stabilisers when they first make the move to a two-wheeler. It really doesn’t give them the chance to learn how to balance properly. Strider’s ST-3 with its lightweight and robust design can help make that transition much easier by teaching balance at a much younger age.”Article continues below
