We are looking for someone to take a leading role in our fully-equipped  workshop which is at the heart of our business and benefits from natural lighting.


Cyclelink was formed in 2014. Initially operating as a mobile mechanic business, we opened our first shop in April 2017. Our workshop is at the heart of our business and we have grown an enviable reputation as a friendly and professional cycle shop providing the highest standard of cycle repairs and servicing. Our customers count on us for honest, clear advice on the care of their bikes and how to get the best from their cycling.


We need an experienced mechanic who is keen to develop their career and take a leading position within our team. The role is that of a senior mechanic with general responsibility for the best operation of the workshop. You will need to have good people skills including an ability to nurture the skills of the rest of our mechanics. As we run an open workshop,you will be customer facing and will need to be able to explain the work we are carrying out in a friendly informative manner. The job will include and element of sales assistance advising customers on products based on your extensive knowledge of parts and accessories.

You will also need to manage workshop bookings, provide accurate quotations which means that it is essential that you can accurately assess workshop jobs and offer advice both verbally and by text or e-mail. We are looking for someone who strives to achieve the highest level of service in a timely fashion with a desire to develop their skills and those of the people with whom they work. Training will be provided but prior workshop experience is essential.

We are open six days a week. The job will involve working five days per week to include two Saturdays each month at our Thames Ditton shop. We are flexible with working hours and will endeavour to arrange a working pattern that suits both the demands of the shop and the needs of the successful applicant.


The applicant should have proven skill and experience as a mechanic. The ability to communicate effectively is essential. An abilty and desire to provide the highest level of customer service skills is essential to ensure that we meet and frequently exceed our clients' expectations. We make every effort to build a our strong reputation as a friendly shop with the best staff offering reliable workshop services and it is essential that the candidate can maintain and grow our perception as a customer-focused business. The ability to take a leading role as part of a team and adapt to changing workload is essential. Broad experience is essential whilst Cytech level 3 or equivalent would be desirable. Basic IT skills along with excellent written and spoken English are requirements for the role.
