Cannondale improves its demand-forecasting
"Handcrafted quality and innovative designs alone aren't enough; we need to keep our operations efficient and deliver finished products to our retailers and consumers in a timely manner," said John Doerr, Cannondale's president of operations, announcing the implementation of new forecasting software.
Cannondale Bicycle Corporation has installed the Logility Voyager Solutions software from Logility, Inc.
"Our business is very seasonal, and Logility will help improve our planning accuracy tremendously by enabling corporate sales, operations, finance and marketing to generate a one-number forecast," said Doerr.
"By initiating a consensus planning process, we are taking another step that will generate both short- and long-term operational improvements."
Cannondale will use Logility Voyager Solutions to reconcile demand history, orders, trends and other information, enabling the company to produce a comprehensive overview of demand by SKU, customer and region.
