London will get Le Tour start in 2007, reports Guardian
Red Ken? No, Yellow Ken. The Mayor of London's transport team looks to be in pole position for grabbing the opening stages of the 2007 Tour de France
The prologue route will take in "Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and The Mall," predicted The Guardian.
"The preferred stage-one route would provide the event with spectacular backdrops such as Whitehall, Big Ben, the London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge."
