Former Fisher marketing director sets up new marketing business set up to handle the UK bicycle industry.
Aftermarket is a new brand marketing business operating in the UK bicycle industry and is owned by Matt Ward, former sales and marketing director at Fisher Outdoor Leisure.
According to Ward: “Aftermarket’s mission is to deliver brand new, brand management, and deliver an extensive mix of holistic, 360 degree marketing solutions relevant to brands and organisations currently within the UK market, and to those that wish to enter.”
Aftermarket will manage PR for Muc Off, marketing communications for Cyclescheme, marketing and PR, coupled with retail stockist management for Salomon (cycling) and bring to market the exciting bike fashion brand, Opsal Sport. They will also handle brand strategy work for Cyclevox, the media and consultancy business of former Cycling TV man, Anthony McCrossan.
“There are many businesses that require help and advice on PR and media, marketing communications and retailer relationship management, and we aim to offer these services," said Ward.
"The brands that we currently have on board are leaders in their fields, and our work with them will help to ensure that they continue as such.”
A new website, has just been launched too: www.after-market.co.uk
“It's been three months in the making, and the guys at Block Interactive have done a great job. Its vital that we have a great connection with our clients, and offer them the very best value for their business, the website is an extra portal for the exposure of their brand in the market – people will hopefully find things in there that they were previously unaware of, regarding our clients, and we’ll ensure that its kept fresh and up-to-date with news and features”

Someone needs to read Martin Lukes/ Lucy Kellaway before writing paragraphs of management speak to describe what they do. Hopefully some PLAIN speaking will come in the future....

Hi Sumo
Thanks for pointing me towards what looks like a good read.
I am actually trying to keep it simple, most of the stuff on my website is pretty straight forward - Im just trying to build a new business in the industry.
Thanks
Matt

Matt. Hi. As your business is aimed the supplier side of the bike business and there are so many brands, you should be killed in the rush for help. Of course you are competing with regular ad agencies and brand marketers too. How else are you defining your own Brand to potential suppliers? Any research in this area? I'll email you directly as I have other questions of a supplier marketing nature.
