SRAM announces 2010 groupset link-up
SRAM, RockShox, Avid and Truvativ (the SRAM group) will next summer jointly launch an MTB group called 'XX'. The joint development will ensure that the brand's components are all compatible with the new group.
Details are thin on the ground at the moment, but it is understood the new groupset will be aimed at the high-end cross-country market.
If rumour is anything to go by... SRAM's new group will be a ten-speed, but this is yet to be confirmed.
SRAM Europe's PR coordinator, Tobias Erhard, said: "The group will exceed the demands of the cross-country athlete through all-new technologies focused on precision, efficiency, and weight. Further details will not be released until a global launch during Summer 2009."
OEM customers of SRAM learnt about 'XX' last month.

“jointly?”

"will jointly launch"? They are all part of the same company so suggesting some sort of multiple brand integration is a little disingenuous. OK for their marketing guys to say it but no need to report it verbatim.

It may be a step in the direction of creating 'Sram' brakes, drive componets, finishing kits & possibly forks as a collective rather than with seperate brands.
Would be much broader than a Shimano group-set and reveal the size of the 'Sram Group' to the masses.
