CEO Ian Wilson has led a management buy-out of the entire share capital of Jim Walker & Co.

Jim Walker is the UK distributor for De Rosa, Ironhorse, Fulcrum wheels, Northwave shoes and clothing, Campagnolo activewear, ITM bars and stems, Ciclosport computers and Speedplay pedals.

The MBO was headed by CEO Ian Wilson who says this latest transaction is a natural and planned evolution from the financial investment in the company made by him two years ago.

Jim Walker has been retained by the company as a consultant. He will now have more time to devote to his bike building business.

As part of the MBO Jim Walker & Co has also incorporated into the business its subsidiary Cycle Supply Europe Ltd which focuses on the distribution throughout Europe of bikes under the Ironhorse, K2 and Columbia brands to European dealers.

The Jim Walker board now consists of Ian Wilson, Paul Butler, sales director, and Matt Walker operations director.
