Messy split decision, two arbitrators found against Landis, one dissented
Lead arbitrator Patrice Brunet and colleague Richard McLaren found against Landis. Christopher Campbell dissented.
Both the majority decision and the strongly-worded dissent are available from the US Anti Doping Authority website. Click on 2007. The majority decision is an 84-page PDF. The dissent is 26 pages.
There are inconsistencies in both documents. Legal eagles – and those experts dissed in the two decisions – will likely be reading these documents closely, with possible fireworks to follow.
