200 exhibitors expected at new Oregon location
The North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS), the world’s largest trade-cum-consumer show for custom-built bicycles, will be held in the Oregon Convention Center, Portland, Oregon, February 8-10. For the first two years of the show it was held in San Jose, California.
Portland, Oregon, is one of America's most bike-friendly cities and with an extremely lively bike culture.
Show director, Don Walker, the founder of NAHBS and a bike builder himself, said: "On display will be the most beautiful objects in the cycling world.
For anybody who's even remotely into bicycles, or design, or engineering, this is a 'do not miss' event."
The show has 92 exhibitors registered already. This is only eleven short of last year's total of 103. With seven weeks of registration remaining Walker said is possible that all 200 both spaces might sell out. Exhibitor registration closes December 15th.
Most of the builders are in high demand: Richard Sachs has a six year waiting list for one of his frames.
