'Lightest' BMX tyre reworked to cater for 24 inch wheels
After the initial success and demand for their super-light 20-inch folding BMX Tyres, KHE has now transferred this technology into 24-inch versions, designed for mountain bikers who ride skate parks.
Matt Andrews of Ison distribution said: "The 24-inch Mac2 Park Tyres will be available in a couple of weeks and look set to be hot items this Summer."
Weighing in at 480grams the tyre is 55mm wide, has a Kevlar sidewall and are able to hold up to 8Bar in pressure.
A quick comparison against other popular tyres shows just how light they are:
KHE Mac2 Park 24" 480g
Schwalbe Table Top 24" Folding 560g
Schwalbe Crazy Bob 24" 950g
Maxxis Holy Roller 24" 620g
Maxxis High Roller 24" 1150g
Maxxis Hookworm 24" 1000g
DMR Moto RT 24" 760g
KHE Mac2 Park 24" Folding tyres: rrp£37.50

“KHE Tyres”

I can see these being popular with park ridiers, but at nearly double the price of most of the other tyres, i can see some riders opting to have a new set of tyres rather than one of these, but the weight does seem very good on them!

the low rolling weight of these is really noticeable.

these look awesome! shame about the price.. i agree with the first comment. us park riders tend to be complete bums so its not easy to spend twice the amount we usually do on tyres.
i run tioga fs100/skidrows they are normal price for tyres, pretty much slick and weigh in at just over 600g. theyre lovely!
