Revolutionary remote controlled brake slows kids down in dangers path

A system more efficient than rugby tackling has been developed for parents who see their kids cycling toward danger. The Bike Stoppa is available online only, at a price of £29.99, and is aimed at parents who worry about the braking abilities of their kids.

The system automatically applies a tyre-centred brake when the frame-mounted device goes out of range of the key-fob.

This is about 30 metres. The key fob can also be used to apply the brake should the child be heading toward danger or out of sight.

The manufacturer claims that there’s no risk of the child jerking to a sudden halt and diving over the handlebars as the braking is progressive.

It'd be better fitted to the front wheel.

Having said that as a joke, it struck me that a large amount of people ride around with their forks fitted backwards so it really wouldn't surprise me if some idiot fitted it to the front wheel.
