Specialized founder talks about the long road to success
CNN has posted a detailed interview with Specialized founder Mike Sinyard covering the start up of the business, all the way to the present day.
Sinyard begins documenting the difficult start up, where he asked dealers for cash advances, just to stock up. At this point the newly founded Specialized Bicycle Components was barely breaking even and making deliveries by bike.
The article progresses to talk about the very first product launch, a touring tyre and the breakthrough launch of the Stumpjumper.

The way it's going (GM closing 4 SUV plants today etc) Specialized will buy-out the car company...
