Fly developing 45/45 headset inspired bb?

'Spanish bb2' on test
Among plenty of other projects spotted on the Fly Bikes website, the Spanish BB2 has been unveiled. The bearing design seemingly takes inspiration from a 45/45 headset.
The website states: "the system has the same bearing style as a headset, meaning it's easy to install. No more hammers." (i'm sure it means bearing presses?)
Other projects seen by following this link include a 'strip' inner tube, eliminating the need to remove the back wheel to replace a tube. Fly also has a brake lever in the works, designed minus a barrel adjuster, which notoriously have weak threads.

Hope the bearings are better sealed than the headset ones or they arn't going to last long.

45/45 bearings are used in headsets due to the loads that headsets are subjected to - they are far less appropriate in a BB which is largely subjected to radial loads surely?

Oh yeah, I'm sure they'll bring it out if it doesn't work. As If!
'Radial loads' yeah cheers, engineering nerds...
Why don't we let Fly worry about it rather than trying to be right on here...

Fly do have plenty of experience when it comes to inventing bottom brackets. This is probably their 10th prototype, on maybe the third? bb system the company has marketed.
