Norman Taylor, co-founder of Jack Taylor cycles, has passed away peacefully

World-famous bicycle builder, Norman Taylor of Norton, has passed away peacefully aged 85.

Taylor was involved in the setting up of the family business, Jack Taylor cycles, alongside brothers Jack and Ken.

The brothers hand-built bikes at a nearby factory, with Norman constructing frames, Ken building the wheels and jack finishing each bike.

Taylor passed away peacefully in hospital on August 28th. His funeral service will take place tomorrow at the Chapel of St Bede, Teesside Crematorium, at 11.30am.
