Raleigh: ‘no truth in Tesco rumours’

Firm’s boss puts a stop to reports of a team up
Raleigh has confirmed to BikeBiz that there is no foundation for rumours that Raleigh is joining forces with Tesco.
The confirmation follows reports in the UK cycle trade that manufacturer and distributor Raleigh was considering teaming up with supermarket giant Tesco for a new project.
The two were rumoured to be planning Raleigh 'mini-stores' within larger Tesco outlets.
However Raleigh UK MD Mark Gouldthorp told BikeBiz that the story was without foundation: “There is absolutely no truth in the rumour whatsoever.”
