Anna Schwinn designs custom BB yoke for The Prospector by Tumbleweed

Anna Schwinn has designed the cast BB yoke on a new fatbike from Tumbleweed of the US. Schwinn is the great-great-granddaughter of Ignaz Schwinn, who founded American bicycle company Schwinn in 1896. She is a former design engineer for Zipp’s carbon components and, more recently, worked on QBP’s All-City, Foundry, Whisky and Civia bicycle brands.

Schwinn's yoke is on the Tumbleweed Bicycle Co.'s new fatbike, The Prospector. This uses a standard 73mm bottom bracket and can handle a variety of tyre sizes and wheel combinations. Designed around the 14 speed Rohloff hub for maintenance free shifting, the Prospector is also front and rear derailleur compatible.

The custom bottom bracket yoke and 73mm Phil Wood Eccentric Bottom Bracke allows for maximum tyre and mud clearance while allowing the use of many off-the-shelf mountain bike cranks.
