On Wednesday, the Lord Mayor of Manchester opened ATG's new training centre. The first twelve mechanics start their courses on Monday.
The Manchester centre is less than a mile from the Manchester Velodrome, home to British Cycling. The centre is equipped with tools from Park Tool USA, all affixed to snazzy aluminium workstations from PAF System 7, a Northamptonshire-based company that produces mechanic workstations for Formula One teams.
The centre has six bays with two mechanics at each bay.
Centre manager Mike Jenner (pictured) formerly the warranty manager at Merida of Nottingham, said: “Sharing a bay encourages team-work.”
More details on ATG expansion plans will be in the February BikeBiz.
