Deadline for competitor registration is September 20th
The fourth instalment of the Brompton World Championship will be once again held at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire.
The one-day event is scheduled for October 4th and is once again expected to draw huge crowds and, with the addition of 100 extra competitor places, 600 entrants all dressed in suits and ties.
Race places will be awarded on a first-come first-serced basis, but in the light of the increased numbers, Brompton will introduce a system of self-selected streaming, based on anticipated race times.
The deadline for race registration is September 20th.
The 2009 event will be held over the same circuit as the 2008 race, comprising two laps of a 6.5km course; this will give last year’s participants the opportunity to beat the time they set over the same course last September, and maybe to beat the times set by BWC III winner, Alistair Kay, and Tour of Spain winner, Roberto Heras.
