In a bid to welcome novice cyclists throughout the country, the brand will be bringing its events to Leighton Buzzard and some of the country’s most iconic climbs; Ivinghoe Beacon, Whipsnade Bison and Dunstable Downs.

Participants will be able to saddle up for a 25-mile event alongside its 50 and 75-mile distance cycling routes around Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire in October.

The brand says the routes have been carefully constructed to encompass beautiful scenery, enjoyable cycling and varying levels of challenge. There will be experienced FLAB ambassadors to encourage and support riders on the journey.

FLAB creator Richard Bye, who has 20 years’ experience cycling many of the country’s most recognised routes, said: “It’s the first time that we have brought our sportives down south and we couldn’t be more excited. The 25 miler route on our Yorkshire Sportive was an enormous success and we hope to inspire some more new riders who may fancy a sportive but have never thought they could!

“We focus on making the sportives fun and social events which are all inclusive, whatever your level. That said we also have some exceptionally fit FLambassadors who cycle at a very high level and they are available to encouraging and mentor those who want to push themselves further.

“Our objective is to ensure that you have an ace day out, meet some of the awesome Lads and Lasses in the FLAB community and leave wanting more, not more to eat. However, our lunch stops are legendary!”
