Flare extends partnership with Air Maiden

Nottingham-based mountain bike clothing company Flare has announced that it will be extending its partnership with women’s brand Air Maiden.

Flare became the title sponsor of the company’s all-women Euro Maiden event last year. In 2017 – as well as renewing sponsorship – it will also be supporting all of Air Maiden’s other activities.

Air Maiden has built a reputation over the last nine years for creating coaching and events that promote female participation.

“We loved working with Lynne last year and were so excited to hear about her plans for Air Maiden,” commented creative director at Flare Hannah Myers. “It is really helping women and girls to get into the sport and to get the best out of it in a fun relaxed environment; it’s so great to see.” 

Under the new agreement, Myers has designed custom riding jerseys for the Air Maiden coaches and has created a range of bespoke products that will be available for purchase from the new Air Maiden website.

As well as sponsoring Enduro Maiden at Innerleithen this July, the clothing company will also be title sponsor of the flagship Air Maiden Freeride event taking place in May at Glentress.  The Minimaidens Attack Squad – a new girls club aimed at 8 to 18 year olds – will also be getting some specially designed Flare jerseys courtesy of the brand.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Hannah again this year,” added founder of Air Maiden Lynne Armstrong. “I think we complement each other really well and as growing businesses, we can really help each other as well as getting even more women and girls on their bikes.”
