Motoring sponsorship budgets lowered, while Team Halfords BikeHut returns
Halfords has upped its support of the Team Halfords BikeHut Race team with the renewal of its sponsorship arrangement and the launch of a fansite - www.teamhalfordsbikehut.com
The new site also features a store which links through to the Halfords.com website, allowing those wanting to ride the same bikes as the team to purchase a Boardman – available exclusively from Halfords.
The team, which competes in both road and various mountiain biking disciplines, has already achieved a number of successes this season, including Rob Partridge’s victory in the Welsh Senior and Junior Championships, Ian Wilkinson winning the East Midlands International CiCLE Classic and Andy Tennant claiming first place in the Tour of Reservoir.
Recently, the Big H slashed its budgets allocated to motorsport sponsorship, opting to increase its commitment to the cycle market.
