Bikes.org.uk publishes top ten list following tests of big e-tailers
A top ten list of load speeds of the UK's most popular online cycle shops places J E James at front of the virtual peleton.
Created by Bikes.org.uk, the rankings show just how seriously the market has taken online retail, with the top nine posting load times of under Google's 'fast' bracket of 1.5 seconds.
According to online researchers Kissmetrics.com, 47 per cent of users expect a page to load in under 2 seconds, otherwise they'll simply get frustrated and move on.
The top ten, as tested (twice over, using Pingdom.com) by bikes.org.uk are:

A quick check of my own site on one test put me outside the top 10, then a second test put me about #3. Did a check on JeJames and it came out at 4.35s on one test and a bit quicker on the other. Results for all of the above were different every time. I would be interested to hear if the source of the results in the above article got the same results next time round?
