Headwear company granted licence from Amaury Sport Organisation for road race
A new collection of Le Tour de France licenced headwear is due to arrive in the spring, thanks to a new deal between Headsweats and the organiser of the road race, Amaury Sport Organisation.Brokered by Moda International Marketing, the agreement will see the likes of technical hats, caps and visors made from moisture-wicking materials or cotton twill hit bike shops, sporting goods stores, mass merchants and online retailers in the US and Canada.
"Headsweats will give US consumers the opportunity to purchase official Le Tour de France headwear while the event is happening, but also throughout the year," said Michelle Alfandari, president of Moda. "Le Tour de France transcends the event as a symbol of the emergence of cycling as a lifestyle brand. Cycling has become more than a sport."
Alan Romick from Headsweats added: "We couldn't be more excited to develop headwear that represents the energy and spirit of Le Tour de France."
