Dan Hornsby of Sakura Battery Ltd. reckons the 63 scooter bikes stolen at the weekend will be easy to spot: the thieves didn't half inch the battery packs. The company is putting up a £1000 reward for information that results in the conviction of the thieves or the return of the bikes
"We have had 63 of our Sakura S200 scooter bikes stolen, from a container that was parked at a transport company in Ware," said Hornsby."However the thieves only stole the bikes, as we build our own battery packs and use a special charger.
"Although the bikes were taken from Hertfordshire they could be any where in the country, and the bikes are no good without a battery and a charger. At some point someone will ask a dealer for a battery and a charger for a Sakura bike, which could lead us to the stolen ones."
