Moore Large announce product range from new brand Mudhugger

Moore Large has received its first delivery of mud protection systems from new brand Mudhugger.

Distributed exclusively in the UK and Ireland by Moore Large, the range consists of four MTB models; a 26er, 650B, 29er and Fatbike. The brand has some of the world's fastest downhill and enduro racers as ambassadors, from the likes of Loic Bruni and team mate Finn Iles.

Mudhugger co-inventor Jamie Gardiner commented: "We've been riding MTB since the late 80's, when dropper posts and good LED lights became affordable, meaning the style and type of riding we could do in the winter changed. The downside to this was the filthy state we got in as there were no rear mudguards that allowed us to ride the way we wanted. Most riders now accept that a reputable mudguard makes sense, not only is it much safer it's also more comfortable and means you can ride faster. Thousands of muddy miles later we now have the complete solution for wet weather riding."

Moore Large brand manager Joe Poyzer added: "These mudguards will change the way you think about Mudguards, not how you ride… Only the washing machine will notice you have them on your bike! They are easy to fit, and tough, offering excellent coverage at a reasonable price. I am also pleased to announce that Mudhugger will join O'Neal, Polygon, Kenda, Joes No Flats and Box as an official sponsor of the Moore Large O'Neal Race Team."

The Front Race was designed with the aide of world cup and enduro riders in 2014, weighing in at 80g and measuring 450mm in length. With various holes for fitting to different fork braces, it is suitable for all wheel sizes, including plus wheels with tyres up to three inches wide.

At 60g in weight and 340mm long, the Shorty Front model offers optimal protection in muddy riding conditions. The Standard Rear fits 26" bikes and 27.5 hardtails, whereas the Standard 29" fits all 650B and 29er bikes, both versions supplied with frame tape and zip ties. Initially designed to overcome the problem of fitting mudguards to a bike with a dropper seat post, the Rear Mudhugger works on all bikes, providing they have disc brakes. They do not get in the way, move out of line and are robust enough to take the rough and tumble of trail riding, allowing the user to train hard and remain comfortable for longer.
