Fundraising platform Wonderful.org has announced that Olympic cyclist Katie Archibald MBE and Team WNT are backing the organisation’s inaugural fundraising event The Wonderful Week.

The Olympic gold medallist and her Elite women’s cycling team are throwing their support behind the philanthropic organisation – the fundraising site which channels 100 per cent of donations to charities.

The charitable teammates will be joining the virtual fundraising event taking place from September 2nd to the 10th, encouraging people to launch their own fundraising initiative all in the name of their own chosen charity and with the guarantee that all donations will go to the intended cause.

Sheffield –based Team WNT have pledged to cover a distance of 1,500 miles through cycling, to raise funds for The Christie – Europe’s leading cancer centre in Manchester.

Katie Archibald commented: “Cycling is all about teamwork and working together to produce results, and participating in Wonderful Week really reflects that. We’re excited to work together as a team to fundraise for The Christie, knowing they will receive all donations in full.”
