NASA-assisted tech sees firm offer frame at unheard of low price
Litespeed has released a brand new low cost titanium frame – the Xicon.The all-new road frame, pronounced Zicon, features oversized, tapered and shaped titanium tubing and an asymmetric, bi-planer chain stay.
The Xicon will be available in five ‘semi-compact’ geometries and will come packaged with a carbon fork and headset. The frame is to be manufactured in Paligap’s Ooltewah factory in Tennessee.
According to Paligap, the frame was developed following collaborations with NASA and the International Titanium Association, which Paligap is a member of.”

American Bicycle Group CEO Peter Hurley said: “Offering a full titanium, hand-built frameset with the Litespeed name on it, at a retail price point of £1,699, is just unheard of in our industry.”
