Avanti Race team developed alongside dealers
Raleigh has returned to race team sponsorship for 2009 with the launch of its own Raleigh Avanti race team.
Both a road and a mountain bike team have been outlined, with riders allocated as follows:
Mountain
Ian Wright
Geoff Giddings
Andrew Shaw
Andrew Stuart
The four-rider mountain bike squad will be contesting the NPS, Midland and Southern series, along with ventures into enduro racing with the Enduro 6, Mountain Mayhem and Sleepless in the Saddle. Riders will be using the new MTrax 5.0 and Corratec World Cup Bow two brands of which Raleigh have launched this year.
