Rapha has teamed with coffee specialists Rocket Expresso Milano to create 200 branded coffee machines - primarily targetted at cycling clubs.
The stainless steel machine comes engraved with Rapha's H-Van silhouette graphic and Cycle Club logo, as well as the words of Fausto Coppi "Oggi Ci Daremo Una Botta", which when translated reads "We'll give ourselves a kick up the backside today."
The Rocket Espresso for Rapha machine is the perfect size for a home kitchen or clubhouse, making premium espresso for cappuccino, macchiato and more. The machine model is the Premium Plus, Rocket Espresso’s flagship model, the same model that the company used for a commemorative Giro d’Italia centenary edition in 2009 (one of which is well-loved at Rapha London HQ).
Other features include a thermo siphon system, nickel plated boiler with lead free brass end plates for increased thermal retention and a Sirai pressure stat, which has a far greater degree of accuracy over the lifetime of the machine. The machine also includes a water reservoir with a low-level indication warning system.

I would love to see a cycle club committee meeting discussing whether to spend £1700 on a coffee machine for the clubhouse! They usually choke over the cost of the club kit!
