Registration for the Taipei Cycle awards has opened

Registration for the Taipei Cycle d&i awards 2018 has officially opened.

This year, iF Design Asia has once again been invited by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Taiwan Bicycle Association to organize the competition.

Designers, manufacturers, and distributors across all sectors of the industry are invited to register their designs until August 31st 2018. Both exhibitors and non-exhibitors of Taipei Cycle 2018 are all welcome to enter their latest innovations and take centre stage in Asia’s largest bicycle tradeshow.

A brand new category, ‘IoT Applications for Cycling’ has been added to the awards. Submissions for this category might include wearables, handheld devices, Bluetooth-connected components, cloud systems, or system integration software for riding activities and the bicycle industry.

To encourage innovation in the design of complete bikes, four out of the eight gold award trophies this year will go to the best complete bikes and complete e-bikes. Moreover, to encourage the innovative efforts of new and upcoming companies, the winner of the “Gold Award –Young Enterprise” special honour will be exempted from the award winner’s fee.

The jury session of the d&i awards 2018 is scheduled to take place from September 18th to the 19th 2018, to which the organizers will be inviting highly professional and dedicated internationally renowned experts to examine and evaluate the entries. The panel of judges will also be personally revealing the list of winners at a pre-show press conference on September 19th, 2018.
