Registration open for 2016 HOY Future Stars competition

The HOY Future Stars registration is now open for the 2016 Revolution Series, with the first round of the competition kicking off in Manchester on September 17.

This year the competition will run across the five UK events in the UK Championship and Champions League. The Champions League round in Paris will host a stand-alone Future Stars competition for French junior riders.

2016 will mark the fourth year of the partnership with HOY and Evans Cycles as they continue to invest in developing the next generation of cyclists in the UK.

Sir Chris Hoy said,” I am delighted we are continuing to support the Revolution Series with the HOY Future Stars competition. Part of our ethos is to encourage the next generation of Olympic and World champions and the Future Stars competition is clearly a great way of doing this - just look at the top cyclists who have won it in the past.”

Notable riders who have taken part in the competition include; Peter Kennaugh, Simon Yates and Steven Burke. Burke, who won the first ever Future Stars competition during the 2004-05 season, will compete in the Rio Olympics this week, hoping to add a second team pursuit gold medal to his collection.
