Celebrating the 25th edition of the show, TAITRA starts innovation award scheme with iF International Forum Design of Germany.

The Taipei Cycle design & innovation Awards "aims to inspire and reward excellence in innovation and quality."

The award scheme is open all manufacturers, designers, distributors, importers and retailers from across the global bicycle industry.

Organised by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) in collaboration with TBEA (Taiwan Bicycle Exporters’ Association), the Taipei Cycle d&i Awards will be judged by iF International Forum Design GmbH.

There are four categories: Bicycles, Components, Clothing and Equipment for Cyclists and Accessories. Entries that have been on the market for less than two years or are scheduled to go into mass production during 2012 are eligible to participate. Registration for the awards end on December 20th, 2011.

The 2012 Taipei Cycle is the 25th annual staging of the show.
