1. Marketing and PR executive
ASSOS is growing in the UK and Ireland; an opportunity has arisen for a marketing and PR executive to join the dynamic team based in the London area at the UK ASSOS Sales and Brand Office. The ideal candidate will be a driven individual with a high level of attention to detail, strong on strategy with the ability to plan and execute budgets, time and manage the media. Reporting to the UK managing director, they will join a multinational company where they will be responsible for media liaison, editorial product placement for ASSOS products within, but not limited to, the cycling media targeting the cycling trade and the end consumer, identifying advertising opportunities, collaborating in the creation of collateral, buying advertising space, managing the relationships with the media and liaising with the ASSOS dealer network in the UK and Ireland to offer marketing support including organising in store events, visual branding for ASSOS within the stores, gathering product feedback, and running in store promotions. 2. Apparel designer
Reporting to the design manager, the candidate will follow a set design brief, creating exciting new product for the Madison Clothing brand, working on men’s, women’s and children’s technical apparel and accessories, covering MTB, road and commute categories. To fulfil this role the candidate will need to possess excellent knowledge of Adobe CS/Illustrator, a knowledge of technical garment construction – which you will have gained within a similar role, ideally within the outdoor or sportswear industries. The company is looking to meet like-minded candidates with an interest in cycling and experience of related technical apparel. 3. Shop manger and mechanic
Mamachari is looking for an experienced bicycle retail manager with experience as a mechanic for the role of store manager/ mechanic for its shop in Walthamstow. It's a full time position working at least one weekend day, nine-hour shifts per day. The candidate will benefit from a comfortable, friendly and professional working environment and a realistic and fair wage. In addition to hands on running and managing the shop, they will be carrying out repairs and servicing. They will be responsible for the day to day running of the shop and will be required to open and close up, keep the display tidy and topped up, carry out some stock ordering tasks, make sales and keep the customers happy. 4. Service centre manager
JE James Cycles has a vacancy for a service centre manager at its Rotherham store to work within a successful and hardworking team. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to convey information to a variety of customers with differing levels of understanding.  They will be expected to work well under pressure whilst remaining polite, professional and friendly at all times.  They will endeavour to maintain the shop’s excellent reputation by providing outstanding service that exceeds the customer’s expectations. 5. Head mechanic
The Hackney Peddler is an independent bike shop in the heart of East London. It specialises in building bespoke custom bicycles for its customers based around classic steel frames, using a mix of modern and vintage parts and components. The shop is now looking for an experienced head mechanic to maintain the day to day running of the workshop and contribute to the shop’s ambitious long term expansion plan. Ideally the candidate will have three to five years of mechanic experience and understand the attention to detail that classic and custom bike work requires. A Cytech level two qualification or the equivalent would be preferable, but is not essential as the team is prepared to offer this training to the ideal person.
