Reports of the deal first circulated last week. BikeBiz contacted Universal at the time but has had no response to date.It's understood the buy-out leaves 20 percent of the company in the hands of brother and sister Gavin and Sarah Markscheffel.
Sports World is a stockist of Muddy Fox bikes, a brand owned by Universal Cycles, which is the UK's biggest distributor of bikes.
