'Wave disc' innovator produces MTB versions

In News

Braking, the Italian aftermarket performance brake parts manufacturer for the sports motorbike world, has launched into the bicycle market. Braking patented the non-circular 'wave' disc idea in 1998.

In the UK, Braking's wave discs will be available from Talon Engineering Ltd of Yeovil.

Talon is a motorbike CNC specialist, manufacturing motorbike sprockets, wheels, and clutch baskets, with 35 full-time staff and a 20 000 sq ft factory.

Wave discs - now much copied - are said to improve braking performance, especially in the wet, don't fade like normal discs and don't warp.

Braking's universal-fitting wave discs come in 160mm, 203mm and 185mm versions and sell to the trade at £15.00 each plus vat. All versions
