"I am deeply saddened at being forced to make this decision and wish the show every success under its' temporary secretary," said Melissa Luxton.
As of yesterday, the temporary acting secretary for the York Cycle Show, run annually since 1945, will be CTC's Peter Latarche.York Rally is run by volunteers.
"I would like to thank everyone in the cycle trade who has given such wonderful support to both myself and the show so well over the last few years," said Luxton.
"York has gone from strength to strength with very positive feedback to the changes made in response to the needs of the exhibitors. Many traders have spoken to me individually and thanked me for my work and I sincerely hope that some of the momentum towards development will carry forward into the future."
