Does bike industry give enough love to bloggers?
I operate a small bike portal cykelportalen.dk in danish, beside my job as a freelance writer for two printed Danish cycling magazines. My experience is that it is the relatively small and new producers who best understand the use of the blog media, while the big players in the market still concentrete on the printed medium. Another experience is that manufacturers often promise more than they can hold on lending products for test. If they are not interested a "NO" would be more respected. In addition to replacement parts and clothing the manufactors should make a lending scheme where the products go from one media to another. In this way they can also make requirements for deadlines. Speed is the online media biggest advantace, the news will be online quick and will still be around years later. If i was a manufactor I would not accept the long deadlines from the printet magazines we are talking 6 to 12 month. I thinks the future is blogging and onlinemagazines.
