1. Sales advisors

Evernden Cycles has vacancies for full and part time motivated sales advisers for its busy independent bicycle retail store in Paddock Wood. The successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills, be self motivated, good team players, be able to multi task and have a great sense of humour. A good knowledge of cycling is an advantage, but a willingness to learn the product range is a must, as is being able to communicate this knowledge to customers. The positions include advising customers on bike fitting, clothing and product, using a computerised till system, booking in repairs and answering telephone queries. You will also be involved in re-stocking, merchandising and keeping the shop clean and tidy.

2. Customer service representative 

Amer Sports is looking for a new customer service representative to be a member of the UK and Netherlands team delivering an efficient and consistent service from start to finish, supported by expertise and enthusiasm for the MAVIC and ENVE brands. The delivery of excellent pro-active customer service by building relationship with customers and the provision of seamless communications both internally and externally are both essential parts of the job. You will be the customer’s first point of contact, providing a welcoming, courteous and helpful service whilst promoting at all times a positive image of the company.

3. R&D assistant

Do you have a BSc in product design, product OR mechanical engineering? Do you have a high degree of competency in the use of 3D CAD software e.g., Solidworks? Do you enjoy riding or tinkering with Bicycles? Frog Bikes is seeking applications for an R&D Assistant to join its R&D team – initially on a 12 month fixed-term contract. The R&D assistant will be supporting the R&D team with the development and improvement of bike components. They will assist with the formulation of design requirements and design briefs, assist with the creation of design solutions, assist with the creation of 3D drawings of various bike components, assist with the implementation and analysis of mechanical stress testing and liaise with relevant suppliers.

4. Customer service coodrinator 

Pashley has won the contract to supply bikes to the London Santander hire bike scheme, and continues to develop in this rapidly expanding market segment. Based in Stratford upon Avon, Pashley is now looking to recruit a customer service co-ordinator. This will be an exciting and varied role as Pashley looks to significantly invest in its digital presence and capitalize on its global brand. The role includes dealing with customer technical, warranty, service and product enquiries - good bicycle technical knowledge essential, responding to consumer enquiries via phone, web and social media – excellent communication skills are important, administrative support to export and UK sales team with order entry and queries and covering for administration elsewhere in the team as required – flexibility and a cooperative personality would be key advantage.

5. Store manager

Bikesheddirect.com is focused on offering fantastic services for all cyclists along with selling bikes and the repairs centre. It offers cyclists a local hub for all their cycling needs. With the introduction of a designated shop in shop for e-bikes in 2016, this has made it the largest independent e-bike stockist in Yorkshire. To thrive as a store manager you will need to be an experienced cycle shop manager looking to work in one of the fastest evolving, forward thinking cycle retailers in Yorkshire. You will need to be passionate about bikes/ bike fitting and have a pro-active approach to marketing through building local relationships, social media, print and local shows. Experience in buying is vital to the role as you will build all the buy plans for the business and be responsible for stock management.
