‘100 Greatest Cycling Climbs’ author tackles the hills of South Wales

Cyclist and author of the ‘100 Greatest Cycling Climbs’ books Simon Warren has created a guide to the hills of South Wales.

Many of the routes in the new guide feature on the route of the Dragon Ride L’Etape Wales by Le Tour de France cycling event.

Titled Cycling Climbs of the Dragon Ride, Warren describes some of Wales’ most iconic roads including Rhigos, The Bwlch and The Devil’s Elbow. Taking place on Sunday, June 10th 2018, the event for sees riders take on routes from 100km right up to Dragon Devil at 305km, tackling up to 5,000m of climbing in one day.

To celebrate the launch throughout November, organisers Human Race will be sending a free copy of the guide to everyone who signs up to take part in the Dragon Ride L’Etape Wales.

Warren commented: “This event is rightly considered one of the most challenging one-day cycling events in the UK, and is reminiscent of some of the most arduous Tour de France stages. Enjoy the unique character of each climb, soak up the scenery they take you through, and relish the challenge of beating these famous roads.”

Throughout November, Human Race will be releasing information on each of the ten key climbs of the Dragon Ride on the L’Etape UK by Le Tour de France Facebook page and the Human Race Strava Club.
