2pure has announced a new initiative designed to support independent bike dealers.
Through the scheme selected items within the 2012 product range will only be available to IBDs.
2pure will pilot the scheme across the 2012 Crankbrothers range, including the new adjustable seatpost, the Kronolog. Announcements are planned for the consumer cycle press to educate consumers about what products they can only buy via an independent bike dealer.
“We are passionate about supporting and encouraging independent retailing," explained 2pure sales director Marco Librizzi. "For a long time it has been the norm to offer exclusives to the larger retailers.
"We won’t stop doing this but we are making it fairer to the independents by offering them similar exclusives. It is still tough on the High Street and we want to do our bit to drive consumers to their local bike shop.”
IBD-only products are clearly marked in the 2pure 2012 trade catalogue by a bright yellow icon (pictured above).
