7mesh to launch new spring 2020 collection with ‘reimagined’ apparel

7mesh is launching its ‘most complete and completely reimagined’ line for spring 2020 at OutDoor by ISPO.

The highlights include an expanded shorts and chamois range, the Anything System, which ‘reinvents’ carrying supplies on jerseys and shorts, and a new approach to reflectivity.

This year the brand has tripled the number of next-to-skin short options by adding the new elite performance RK1 bibshort, introducing new Anything cargo pocket options to its MK and WK shorts, and creating the ‘ultimate performance liner shorts’ in the revamped Foundation series.

In building the RK1 short, 7mesh worked with supplier CyTech to develop a proprietary new Elastic Interface chamois which offers signature 7mesh Clean Finish construction without a secondary mesh chamois carrier.  The resulting one-piece Force platform chamois delivers plush comfort with increased airflow and ventilation, wrapped in a tailored, high-elastane, featherweight body finished with coldblack SPF 50 protection.

Women’s WK3 and men’s MK3 bibshorts are now available with back and leg cargo Anything pockets in addition to the pocket-free design. The pockets have been integrated into the design to offer extra stowage. The Foundation undershort range has been redesigned from the saddle up with an airy mesh body and a new Force chamois with cutouts for maximum airflow and ventilation while wearing overshorts or riding pants. Men’s and women’s Foundation bibshorts also include cargo pockets for extra storage.

The 7mesh jersey range has been similarly reimagined from top down with new fabrics and new profiles. The new superlight Skyline Jersey and ‘do-everything’ Horizon Jersey are available for both men and women and every short sleeve pocketed jersey has been constructed with the Anything Panel. This approach is constructed from a stretch woven fabric and floats freely from the jersey allowing for maximum pocket capacity without compromising shape or fit.

The new Anything Panel also gave the designers at 7mesh the opportunity to ‘rethink reflectivity and visibility’. The panel is sublimated with a gradient graphic which is unique to the colour and model and then it is printed with a full light-activated reflective treatment. The Slab Short has been engineered with high-output enduro and XC rides in mind. There is also the new 3/4 sleeved Optic Jersey and short sleeved Sight Shirt.

The spring 2020 7mesh cycling apparel collection will be introduced at OutDoor by ISPO from 30th June to 3rd July.
