Rock star saddles up with brother for charity cycle ride

Altura gets behind Kasabian for LEJOG

Chris Edwards, bass player for alternative rock band Kasabian, is cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats with his brother Jason to raise cash for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Zyro’s Altura brand is supporting the 1,000 mile ride, which will take place over 14 days this month.

Zyro is the official supplier of all their kit, excluding the Boardman bikes. The Edwards will be kitted out in Altura clothing, Abus helmets and CamelBak Packs and Chill bottles. They’ll also be energised by PowerBar.

“Chris is going to literally finishing his 3 months festival tour at V this weekend, and replacing his tour bus for 2 wheels and 14 days more open air,” enthused Zyro’s Jane Watson.

“We are really proud to support another national charities cause. Jay and Chris are closely allied to Teenage Cancer Trust. Mixing cycling with great British music has brought Altura especially closer to the masses this summer once again and Chris and Jay are really great guys to work with. We wish them the very best of luck on their adventure. This is a real challenge for them and they will do it.”
