Autobus Cycling Collective to run pop-up cycling store

The Autobus Cycling Collective is holding its launch event, a pop-up cycling store, this weekend.

The store will run from the 8th to 9th December at the Boulevard Shopping centre and will include Galibier, Victory Chimp, Donard Bikes, SeeSense and Mango Bikes.

The event is aiming to showcase the ‘best cycling products from Northern Ireland’.

The Autobus Cycling Collective is an incentive by Victory Chimp, Galiber and Donard to showcase a range of cycling products made by local independent companies.

Myles McCorry, director of textiles and creator of the Mistral Jacket at Galibier, said: “Northern Ireland has a long and rich history in cycling and innovation and we’re excited to promote the new wave of companies bringing the two together.”

Owen Byrne, master frame builder at Donard Bikes, said: "When riders visit my workshop they rarely know about the wide range of local cycling products available on their doorstep.

“We’re inviting everyone to come along to the pop-up store to meet the heads behind the brands.”

Ryan O’Reilly, head engineer of Banana Positioning Technology at Victory Chimp, said: “There are so many local companies creating world class products, and the pop-up shop is a great place to take a closer look and pick up gifts for the cyclist in your life, or grab some off-season treats.”
