BA makes a trading loss; JCB resigns

The trading loss can mostly be attributed to the disastrous York Rally/Festival of Cycling.

John Carrington Beard, the BA’s £40k per annum marketing manager, resigned before today’s meeting.

He had already lost the confidence of a number of members of the BA’s board.

The other bit of news from today’s meeting is that the BA’s June show for Harrogate in 2001 the International Cycle Convention has been given the final go-ahead.
