Beryl Burton’s auatobiography has been published by Mercian Manuals and is now available to the trade.
The Yorkshire athlete’s 12-hour record of 277 miles still stands today and remarkably during this race, Burton caught the leader for two minutes and took the win and the record.
The 182 page hardcase book, dubbed ‘personal best’, documents Burton’s Women’s World Road and Pursuit Championship races and achievements through the 30 years after.
