So, that should prevent the online-only IBDs winning...

Best IBD in Singletrack/Cycle 2003 Awards will get a £5k retail makeover

Only kidding, the IBD category in the awards is for bricks-and-mortar IBDs only (although they can active websites too, of course).

The £5000 makeover will be conducted by Portland Design, a design consultancy conveniently located at the Business Design Centre itself, venue and owner of the Cycle 2003 expo.

The Best Retail Outlet Award is just one of the reader-voted-for gongs up for grabs at this year’s Singletrack Magazine Awards Dinner at Cycle 2003. The awards bash to be held on the Wednesday evening of the show.

A representative from Portland Design will visit the IBD winner, undertake an audit of the store’s branding, design and layout and present a critique of their findings along with recommendations to the retailer.

"We firmly believe that a combination of the right store layout, graphics, branding and POP will deliver a competitive advantage and we welcome the opportunity to bring our expertise into the cycle trade", said Ibraham Ibraham, Portland Design’s MD.
