Islabikes, Cyclepod and Fisher Outdoor are among the prize givers for Sustrans’ Big Pedal school cycling promotion, which starts today and sees schools competing with each other to see which can get the most children cycling to and from school.
Prizes also include BMX and MTB stunt shows for the winning schools.
Islabikes is supplying six childrens’ bikes to Big Pedal.
Five of them is for a prize draw to incentivise schools to maintain over 25 percent of their school roll participating on every day of the ten days of the competition. Each school which achieves this will be put into a draw, for which the prize is a ‘fleet’ of five Islabikes.
There will also be an Islabike awarded to the winner of the Daily Challenge for the Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools. The Daily Challenge for SEN schools will take place on Wednesday 5th March.
