Manchester EventCity show will now be made up of Bike, Run, Swim and Tri segments

Bike and Tri show becomes a 4-in-1 expo

The Bike and Triathlon show is set to move to Manchester’s EventCity, at the same time dividing up the exhibition space to create a four in one exhibition for cyclists, triathletes, runners and swimmers.

Of particular interest to those in the business, an extra day has been added which will be exclusive to trade visitors. The show begins with the trade preview on Friday March 20th, with the public invited in over the weekend.

Event manager Colin Gale commented: "We’ve had two fantastic years as the Bike & Triathlon Show and our plans for 2015 mean we can come back bigger and better than ever. The new venue means we can cater for the demands of the great sporting public in the North West and will allow us to put on a more substantial event, with so much more scope for visitors to try out different sports and activities in our feature areas.

“The event will appeal to anyone who competes in triathlon, running, swimming and cycling events, as well as those who simply love one of these disciplines as a way to wind down or as part of a healthier lifestyle.”

Last year’s event, held at Manchester Central, drew over 6,500 people over two days, including securing seminars and Q&A sessions with Sir Chris Hoy, Chris Boardman MBE, Joanna Rowsell and Dame Sarah Storey.

The Peel Group, which owns EventCity, is getting right behind the events, as its development director, James Whittaker, is a triathlete and has previously raised £250,000 for charity by swimming the 36-mile Manchester Ship Canal.

James said: "Event City is thrilled to be hosting these four fantastic sport events – TriExpo, RunExpo, SwimExpo and BikeExpo – next March. As a participant in triathlons myself, I’m delighted that Hamerville Media Group is putting on such events in Manchester, inspiring more people to get involved with triathlon, swimming, running and cycling, whether they are complete beginners, or looking for the next big challenge. It will be an exciting three days, and Peel is very pleased to be supporting the events."

Four new domains have launched to support each segment of the exhibtion:
